TGIF!!!

Oh I'm so happy its Friday. After a 5-day weekend, it was hard to get into the grind this week. So looking forward to Christmas break to get in some extra scrapping time! Here's some pics of a paperbag album I'm been working on for my mom. I finally showed it to her so now I can post some pics. Its not quite complete, but I'm going to post pics anyways. I would love some feedback.

BRRRRRRRRRR....Its beginning to look a lot like....

Brrr, it was truly nippy out there today. We've had rain off and on again since Sunday and today was really taking on the feelings of Winter. I hear that we had snow a couple of hours from here. I would much rather see snow than all this rain.

I'm having so much fun playing with my new Cricut, but its almost overwhelming. I just got 2 new cartridges in the mail today so I'm anxious to learn them.

The card I made tonight is with the image "Henry, the Snow Angel Fairy," from Paper Makeup Stamps. I had a lot of fun working with this image and have already thought of a few new ideas. I colored Henry with my colored pencils; fun flocked the snow and used stickles on his wings. The ribbon was an RAK and I don't remember where the paper is from. I also used my copic for Henry's face. I'm entering my card on the J.U.G.S. charity card challenge and Truly Scrumptious. I hope you all like my card and be sure to check out the "Henry" image at PMS because the proceeds from this stamp will go to help a family memorialize their son.

Rainy Sunday!!!!

Well, I'm so excited because my husband got me a Cricut Expression for my birthday! I'm so ready to play with it, but have barely had the time since receiving it. I've borrowed some cartridges from my mom and have played some. I've also ordered From My Kitchen cartridge and can not wait to create with that! I so have planned to make a mini-recipe album with it and am drooling just thinking about it. For those who have cricuts, I'd love to hear what your favorite feature and cartridge is.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I needed to make a sympathy card, which I've never made before and of course I got stumped. I decided to go with the simple and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Tell me what you think. While I was at it, I used my new Bird Call embossing folder from Provo Craft. I really liked how it turned out for this project. The stamp is from an old set I had lying around; the ribbon is from Heidi Grace and the brad I don't remember. I just hope this card isn't too simple.

On a happier note, today is my birthday and I'm excited because we are going out for dinner!!! No cooking for me tonight! Now, where to go is the question. Addison is excited, as she is anytime its a birthday and wanted to know if I would like a "Big Baby" for my present. Can you guess what she wants for Christmas? I only hear, "I want a big baby for Christmas" about every other day or so. LOL. Well, since both kids are down napping I'd better get off of here and enjoy some crafting time!!!

The brown/cream card I made this afternoon for the House Mouse Monday Challenge. Phew..that was a tough one, but I really liked it. The image is obviously from House Mouse; I stickled the bubbles and everything else was part of their requirement.

I'm back...finally!

Ok well it seems like I'm hit and miss with this blog, which is not my intention, but with 2 little ones here the days are busy and the nights seem shorter and shorter. I think I'll have to start drinking coffee at night to stay awake so I can have playtime too! So, I decided to play with the card sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches and had a blast with it. Pretty much everything on the card is from an RAK. The image(also an RAK from Christa at cafemom) is adorable and I fell in love with her. I fun flocked her muff, earmuffs and top of her boots. I used my copics and Bics to color her. Enjoy!

There are so many ways to win; facebook, twitter, your own blog, leaving a comment on their page....its just too easy! Oh how I could finally organize if I won this little gem! Good Mornng Monday

Back to the grind, its Monday! So, I'm taking advantage of naptime...well one kiddos' nap to participate in Mojo Monday! I just loved the darling sketch they had for this week's challenge. The papers were RAK'ed; I used my bic for the snowman and I fun flocked his body. The stamp is from Studio G. I'm really falling in love with pink and green for Christmas. In fact, I've been considering getting a smaller tree just for pink and green decor! Just have to talk the hubs into it. He's very traditional. Ok so anyways, hope you like my card and again, thanks for looking.

Simple Sunday

So, I'm taking time for myself this Sunday and its so relaxing. My daughter is happily playing at her grandparents, my hubby is fishing and I am crafting! Does it get any better than this? I was able to make this card so far using Frankie, an image from Doodle Street and the sketch design from the Doodle Street challenge blog. The glitter paper is from DCWV glitter mat stack; I used Black Diamond Stickles and black grosgrain ribbon. I apologize for the poor pic quality. Frankies nose and ears are purple, but came out pink in the pic. I was so excited to post, the stickles are still wet in the pic. Well, thanks for humoring me by taking a look.

Chilly Saturday

Oooo I'm soooo happy I finally made a card. I haven't made one I've been happy with in ages. I think I like this one. All the cool weather we've had is getting me in the mood for pumpkins, apple cider and fireplaces. Here's the card I came up with for a challenge over at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays, a great little blog I stumbled across this morning. I knew I just had to participate. The candy corn embellies are from K & Company and the paper is paper studio from Hobby Lobby. I don't remember the other embellies. I had so much fun picking out the papers so I could paper piece this darling little pumpkin. Sorry for the glare on the pic. Thanks for looking and hope you like my card.

Dreary Thursday

Well after a week of being sick, sick, sick I think we are on the mend. Thankfully the weekend is approaching, which means more rest and downtime. The little boy I sit for came back today so we are trying to get into the swing of things again. I thought after a week of being with family, he'd be rotten and hard to handle, but it hasn't been bad at all. This morning, I was really feeling in the crafty mood so I came up with this little ATC for a challenge over on cafemom. I'm digging the vintage look right now and I really like it on the ATC's.

Growing my blog

I've decided to start stocking up on blog candy items. I want to grow my blog to at least 100 followers then give away a little candy. Help me grow my blog ladies! I promise the candy to be delicious!

My latest scrappin' creation

I'm just in love with these little toilet paper roll albums. I've been saving tp rolls and my craft closet is exploding with them. Here's the latest album, which isn't quite complete, as I have a few finishing touches I'd like to add. The tut for the tp albums is great and easy to follow.

Something about fall

Something about the cooler, fall weather prompts me to get out the crochet hooks and start craftin! I'm currently working on a blanket for my daughter Addison and per her request the colors are pink, purple and red. Ha, it looks like I'm crafting for the red-hat ladies! Oh well, its her blanket. I've also started a 52 week crochet-along over at cafemom. Every week the ladies who choose to participate will crochet a new dishcloth. They're so easy and fun to work up in a hurry. Here's the first week's cloth. I haven't tucked the ends in yet, b/c I was too excited to post a pic. This particular pattern is from crafty gardner.

Organizing my Crafty Space

Ok, so I'm on a mission to organize my crafty space. I've been pulling apart my rubber stamps today off their blocks. I want to save space and be more efficient when I craft; the problem is, when I walk into my mess I don't know where to start. I just stare at it all. Where to begin? Pics will follow when I find it to my liking.

Happy Wednesday

Good morning to anyone who might be reading this. I'm a little stumped as to getting my blog up and running, mainly because I've been in a crafting funk. I'm finally starting to get my groove back so maybe I can get this going as well.

I've recently completed a mini-album that I purchased from craft craving chicas and I loved it. Its bright and colorful and really caught my eye when I was deciding which kit to buy. It was called "Hippie Chick," and was similar to the one they've recently sold out of, only one a smaller scale. I used Elmer's multi-purpose spray adhesive to adhere the pages to the album, which worked nicely. I was too excited when I discovered I had pics that went perfect with the papers and embellies. I just had too much fun putting this album together and did it in an afternoon. Don't ya just love naptimes to play!
