Happy Birthday to Me!

I needed to make a sympathy card, which I've never made before and of course I got stumped. I decided to go with the simple and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Tell me what you think. While I was at it, I used my new Bird Call embossing folder from Provo Craft. I really liked how it turned out for this project. The stamp is from an old set I had lying around; the ribbon is from Heidi Grace and the brad I don't remember. I just hope this card isn't too simple.

On a happier note, today is my birthday and I'm excited because we are going out for dinner!!! No cooking for me tonight! Now, where to go is the question. Addison is excited, as she is anytime its a birthday and wanted to know if I would like a "Big Baby" for my present. Can you guess what she wants for Christmas? I only hear, "I want a big baby for Christmas" about every other day or so. LOL. Well, since both kids are down napping I'd better get off of here and enjoy some crafting time!!!

The brown/cream card I made this afternoon for the House Mouse Monday Challenge. Phew..that was a tough one, but I really liked it. The image is obviously from House Mouse; I stickled the bubbles and everything else was part of their requirement.

I'm back...finally!

Ok well it seems like I'm hit and miss with this blog, which is not my intention, but with 2 little ones here the days are busy and the nights seem shorter and shorter. I think I'll have to start drinking coffee at night to stay awake so I can have playtime too! So, I decided to play with the card sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches and had a blast with it. Pretty much everything on the card is from an RAK. The image(also an RAK from Christa at cafemom) is adorable and I fell in love with her. I fun flocked her muff, earmuffs and top of her boots. I used my copics and Bics to color her. Enjoy!

Holy cow!!! This is the greatest little storage/work unit I think I've ever seen. The scrapbox is being given away on Christmas with the Cricut. There are so many ways to win; facebook, twitter, your own blog, leaving a comment on their page....its just too easy! Oh how I could finally organize if I won this little gem! LOL, of course you always fill the space you have. I would probably need 2 with all the stuff I have. Well, if you decide to enter, please leave my blog address and tell them I referred you!

Good Mornng Monday

Back to the grind, its Monday! So, I'm taking advantage of naptime...well one kiddos' nap to participate in Mojo Monday! I just loved the darling sketch they had for this week's challenge. The papers were RAK'ed; I used my bic for the snowman and I fun flocked his body. The stamp is from Studio G. I'm really falling in love with pink and green for Christmas. In fact, I've been considering getting a smaller tree just for pink and green decor! Just have to talk the hubs into it. He's very traditional. Ok so anyways, hope you like my card and again, thanks for looking.

Simple Sunday

So, I'm taking time for myself this Sunday and its so relaxing. My daughter is happily playing at her grandparents, my hubby is fishing and I am crafting! Does it get any better than this? I was able to make this card so far using Frankie, an image from Doodle Street and the sketch design from the Doodle Street challenge blog. The glitter paper is from DCWV glitter mat stack; I used Black Diamond Stickles and black grosgrain ribbon. I apologize for the poor pic quality. Frankies nose and ears are purple, but came out pink in the pic. I was so excited to post, the stickles are still wet in the pic. Well, thanks for humoring me by taking a look.

Chilly Saturday

Oooo I'm soooo happy I finally made a card. I haven't made one I've been happy with in ages. I think I like this one. All the cool weather we've had is getting me in the mood for pumpkins, apple cider and fireplaces. Here's the card I came up with for a challenge over at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays, a great little blog I stumbled across this morning. I knew I just had to participate. The candy corn embellies are from K & Company and the paper is paper studio from Hobby Lobby. I don't remember the other embellies. I had so much fun picking out the papers so I could paper piece this darling little pumpkin. Sorry for the glare on the pic. Thanks for looking and hope you like my card.
